The system can import data from existing technologies or legacy computer asset management systems allowing customers with a simple asset database to upgrade to SACM.

the popular SQL server as a database platform, ServiceTec's ITIL asset management system is completely secure and allows airport management teams to tailor features to their precise requirements.
As part of the initial installation procedure, ServiceTec's asset management experts are able to assist with establishing appropriate input methods and levels of granularity of data to be captured, before carrying out an audit of the airport's service assets.
All relevant data is recorded into the SACM database with legacy equipment recorded by importing from existing data, carrying out physical site audits and through use of discovery technology where possible.

Documents, pictures and other files (such as digital photographs, CAD drawings, maps, purchase orders, warranty and service level agreements, etc.) can also be linked to each asset, providing a centralized repository of all information relating to that device.
