FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Stevenage, UK : 10 December 2024 – ServiceTec , a leading provider of IT services to the aviation industry, is proud to announce its role in supporting Avinor’s ambitious digital transformation program across 43 state-owned airports in Norway. This initiative, in partnership with Amadeus, will revolutionize the passenger experience and optimize airport operations.

ServiceTec is playing a crucial role in this project by:

  • Implementing Amadeus systems at 15 airports: ServiceTec’s expert technicians ensure the seamless installation and integration of Amadeus’ cutting-edge technology at 15 key airports across Norway. • Providing comprehensive Service Desk function: ServiceTec delivers a 24/7 Level 1 Help Desk, including managed IT support and maintenance for Amadeus hardware in Oslo.  This ensures smooth operations, rapid issue resolution, and minimal disruption to airport services.

Avinor’s Vision for the Future
Avinor’s digital transformation program aims to create a seamless and efficient passenger journey while enhancing operational efficiency. Key features of this initiative include:

  • Roaming agents: Equipped with mobile devices and Amadeus technology, check-in agents will assist passengers throughout the terminal, eliminating queues and enhancing flexibility.
  • Biometric capabilities: Avinor airports will have the option to implement biometrics for check-in, lounge access, and boarding, further streamlining the passenger experience.
  • Remote airport management: Smaller airports with lower traffic can be efficiently managed remotely through Amadeus cloud services and mobile devices, reducing the need for extensive on-site infrastructure.
  • Data-driven operations: Amadeus Airport Insights will provide Avinor with real-time data and predictive analytics, enabling better decision-making, optimized resource allocation, and proactive identification of potential bottlenecks.
