Overview

We are currently seeking applicants for an Airport Technical Support Technician in Queens, NY. The Individual selected for this role will provide preventative maintenance of automated bag-drop/check-in hardware technology at LaGuardia Airport. The individual selected for this role will undertake a maintenance visit once per week lasting 3-5 hours, where the technician will inspect and carryout preventative maintenance on hardware units to ensure they are fully functional for airline operations. Training on the support and maintenance of the units will be provided.


Education

  • High School Diploma and/or two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+ preferred.
  • Competent in hands-on mechanical repair.

Skills

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks on time.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs if required.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Friendly and personable.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Experience

Experience in these related areas is preferred:

  • Documented experience in superior customer service delivery.
  • Personable and able to work independently.
  • Able to establish and maintain good working relationships and communication with decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads and end-users regarding pertinent network activities.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
