ServiceTec is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its European team. ServiceTec supplies managed IT services to the transportation industry, with a specific focus on the aviation sector. Ideally, you will have proven experience in the airport/airline industry, and a sound understanding of best practise methodology (ITIL), supported by a reputation and track record for securing managed service contracts.
You will work from either our UK headquarters in Letchworth Garden City or your home office. Regular air travel and the ability to spend time away from home according to business needs are a requirement of the role; consequently, close proximity to a well-served airport is an advantage. A second language would be beneficial and candidates must be able to travel freely and without restriction within Europe and possess a full valid driver’s license.
Strong verbal and written communications skills are mandatory to be successful in this role. You will need to have a proven ability for ‘relationship selling’ combined with the drive and people skills to recognise and seize the right time to ‘ask for the order’. It is a prerequisite that the candidate can provide a suitable home office environment, with telephone and internet access, where you can conduct telephone conversations with potential customers in a professional manner. The Company will provide a laptop, printer and telephone.
